In 2017 and 2023, when they played the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans during the NFL’s crossover to the UK, The Baltimore Ravens most important staff called The Athenaeum their home in London.

Cheerleaders, band members and other key members of the staff, benefitted immensely from The Athenaeum’s central, Mayfair location. A location that allowed them to check out all the major London sites in style, just a-hop-skip-and-a-jump from the hotel, during nights off on the tour.

What we loved most was how they travelled in style when they arrived. Check out their awesome ride!

The NFL London Games have become a much-anticipated fixture in the UK sports calendar, drawing fans from across Europe to witness the excitement of American football in iconic London venues. In 2024, the NFL will host three games in London: New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings on October 6th, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Chicago Bears on October 13th, and New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars on October 20th. These games will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley Stadium, both renowned for their electric atmospheres and cutting-edge facilities.

Attending an NFL game in London is about more than just the on-field action. The pre-game experience is rich with activities, from fan rallies and interactive zones to a variety of food and drink options that bring a slice of American tailgating culture to the UK. For those new to the sport, the atmosphere in and around the stadiums offers an immersive introduction, with passionate fans, vibrant entertainment, and official NFL merchandise available to enhance the experience (Seat Unique).

For visitors planning to stay in London during the NFL games, selecting the right accommodation is crucial for maximizing their experience. The Athenaeum Hotel in Mayfair is a great option due to its central location and easy access to both stadiums. The hotel is one direct train to both stadiums from Green Park Underground. You can reach Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the Victoria Line and Wembley Stadium on the Jubilee, making it highly convenient for game day travel.

While the focus of the trip might be the NFL, staying at The Athenaeum allows guests to enjoy London’s cultural and historical offerings as well. The hotel’s proximity to landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and the West End theaters makes it an excellent base for exploring the city before or after the games. Additionally, the hotel’s luxurious amenities, including a spa and fine dining options, provide the perfect way to relax after a day of cheering on your team (Athenaeum Hotel).

For NFL fans visiting London, combining the excitement of the games with the comfort and convenience of staying at a top-tier hotel like The Athenaeum ensures a memorable experience, blending the thrill of American football with the rich cultural tapestry of London (Seat Unique) (Athenaeum Hotel).
