The Athenaeum has a range of rooms that can accommodate as few as ten guests and up to 100. Our rooms can be used for any of the following occasions, ensuring that even everyday events become exceptional.
The Athenaeum have three different rooms ideal for meetings, which range in both shape and size. The capacity of each room is dependent on which layout you choose; these layouts include theatre style, U-shape or boardroom style, among others. Those who hire our rooms for meetings have the added benefit of receiving the five star service that all guests receive. As well as the mod cons you’d expect, enjoy the natural daylight and views over leafy Green Park. You can also select bespoke menus by our Michelin-starred chefs, the Galvin brothers. Day delegates also receive regular refreshments, afternoon tea treats and a complimentary mini-bar with water, seasonal fruit and sweets.
Special dinners become that bit more extraordinary when hosted in a private dining room. Our private dining rooms have air conditioning, abundant natural daylight and pristine views over the city and Royal parkland. The private dining menus have been specially designed by the Michelin starred Galvin brothers. Canapé receptions can include a range of cold, hot and sweet options, ranging from Jersey oysters, beef tartare and heritage beetroot with goat’s curd, to prawn tempura, vegetable pastilla, eclairs and chocolate truffles. A range of three to seven course set menus also sate the appetite deliciously.
An impeccably romantic setting, The Athenaeum is a spot where couples can say their vows and enjoy a wedding reception. Wedding ceremonies take place in The Hyde Park Suite, which has capacity for 55 people and can be decorated to your taste. Follow this up with a wedding reception package or bespoke arrangement. The Athenaeum Turnkey Wedding Package includes reception drinks and canapés, a four-course wedding breakfast with post-dinner treats, half a bottle of wine per person and a glass of Lanson Champagne for the toast. The benefit of hosting a wedding here is that guests can stay the night on-site too, while the happy couple can enjoy their first night of wedded bliss above the treetops in our Penthouse Suite.
Our rooms are ideal for any other type of special occasion too. We host birthday parties and baby showers, family gatherings and cocktail soirees, anniversary parties, reunions and everything in between. Our five star service and cuisine is all the inspiration you need to know your event will be exceptional. Our private dining and event spaces can accommodate up to 60 guests for a seated dinner or 100 guests for a cocktail reception.
