It’s mid- afternoon and the team are sitting in their umpteenth meeting of the day, staring with glazed eyes at the clock on the wall, silently imploring it to speed up. Now, no one wants their team to be feeling uninspired, so for your next meeting, why not shake it up a bit with a one-of-a-kind, 90-minute cocktail masterclass, hosted by our expert in-house mixologist. The team will enjoy a selection of canapés whilst they listen to the fascinating history of the cocktail, before getting to work themselves and mixing up three of their own drinks. Question is, will it be shaken or stirred?
If cocktails aren’t your team’s thing then no problem – we’ve certainly got other exciting team building activities that will be sure to tickle their fancy. For the whisky-drinkers, our Whisky and Cheese Tasting Masterclass will be a winner without a doubt, with The Bar at The Athenaeum being home to over 100 different varieties of the spirit. This one-hour class offers an excellent opportunity to bond with the team, with our in-house experts guiding you through a unique tasting experience, where knowledge, passion and discussion will all be blended together to form a perfectly-balanced team building activity. We have three different packages available, with each whisky taster accompanied by the perfect cheese pairing – who’d have thought team building could be such delicious work?
Add a splash of creativity to your next meeting with a two-hour session of painting and Prosecco. Because when bubbles are involved, you know you’ll have a terrific time! Our Brush and Bubbles Masterclass will be led by an expert artist and take place in a fun and relaxing environment where the team can completely unwind and reconnect with each other over a canvas. With this team building activity eliciting your inner Banksy, it will undoubtedly provide you with fresh inspiration for when you return to work.

A recent addition to our growing selection of team building activities, our award-winning workshops with The Crafty Hen will be sure to get the whole team inspired and working together. These workshops will be led by experienced professional craftspeople, with the sessions promoting wellness and creative thinking in a fun and informal environment. You can either choose an afternoon of painting vibrant designs onto ceramics, or spend some time discovering fun and effective techniques to make and create unique rubber stamp blocks from scratch, before printing onto your choice of surface. Alternatively, if you’re unsure what sort of craft your team would get the most out of, why not opt for a craft station workshop where a variety of different craft activities can all be combined into one session, making it the ultimate team building activity for your team!
