“This is one of my favourite whiskies – it’s a beautiful colour with a rich and intense flavour that’s enticing. The aftertaste is almost sweet and makes you want to take another sip. It’s also sweet to smell, with notes of marshmallow, ripe pear and honey on the nose.
This particular single malt was finished in casks used previously to age Caribbean rum for four months so you’ll find tropical fruit and spicy ginger influences. It is lightly oaked and well balanced with both pleasant spice and a smooth finish.”

It is made with two consecutive maturations in two different types of cask, a process often referred to as ‘cask finishing’. First it is matured in American oak barrels, which impart soft sweet vanilla notes, before being transferred to European oak sherry casks, which adds rich spicy flavours and depth and fullness of flavour. Enjoy hints of green apple, creamy toffee and a striking richness and complexity on the palate.”
“I don’t smoke cigars but I really enjoy this single malt. This is an elegant whisky and has notes of sweet, spiced toffee with a lovely smoky finish. It is easy to drink without water, however, if you do add water, the smokiness intensifies and the toffee becomes richer. It’s exceptionally smooth, so you know there has been quality distillation and careful ageing in good casks. The palate is full and luxurious and the finish is long and warm – a must try for Autumn.”

“Absolutely wonderful. This 10 year old is made with 100% rye and delivers a full-on flavour profile of clove, mint, barrel char, creamy caramels and butterscotch. An excellent whiskey that captures the spirit of entrepreneurship from the makers. It’s so smooth and balanced with a refined taste that you would not expect from a rye of this proof. I would most definitely recommend a taste!”
